Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs Award

Well done to our Year 12 student, Alexandra Wilson, who won the Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs Award at the Zonta International Women’s Day Luncheon at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre on the weekend.
The Award recognises young women who have demonstrated a commitment to community volunteer work and dedication to empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. Alexandra was acknowledged for her extensive leadership and service involvements including presenting a community radio program to empower youths in Mackay, and volunteering abroad in Cambodia to improve the health of women.
Congratulations also goes to Imaan Ashraf and Dayna Bushell who were also recognised for their participation.
