Indigenous Academic Senior Scholarship (IAS)

For new indigenous students commencing in Years 7-12 in 2022

We welcome scholarship applications from indigenous students who wish to commence their education journey with one of Australia’s best regional schools.

These scholarships assist Senior School students with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage to attend Whitsunday Anglican School (WAS), recognise their past academic achievements, support their future endeavours and to encourage the development of Indigenous leadership.

IAS scholarships support students with the provision of:

  • A bursary of up to 50% of school fees each year
  • An additional $1000 in the first year of schooling for school-related expenses such as a laptop, textbooks, uniforms etc as approved by the Principal
  • Scholarships will apply until the end of Year 12, provided eligibility is maintained
