Lions Youth of the Year Award

Congratulations to our Year 12 student, Dayna Bushell, who won the Regional Judging round of the Lions Youth of the Year Award on the weekend.
This prestigious event aims to encourage, foster and develop leadership in conjunction with other citizenship qualities in our youth. Competing against four students from different Mackay schools, Dayna very capably participated in an interview, and presented two impromptu speeches and one prepared speech.
She will now progress to the State level of the competition which will be held in Townsville in May.
